Orange Cake
|
Main Ingredients:
Sugar: 1 cup Butter: 1 cup All-purpose Flour: 2 cups Baking Powder: 4 tsp Orange Juice: juice 1 cup, preferably freshly squeezed Orange Zest: from 3 small Eggs: 4
Sauce Ingredients:
Orange Juice: 1/2 cup Sugar: 2/3 cup
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 F.
2. Cream butter and sugar in a mixer.
3. Add eggs one at a time and mix.
4. Slowly add sifted backing powder and flour.
5. Blend in orange juice and zest.
6. Pour the mixture into a Pyrex dish and bake for 40 min or till golden.
7. Let it cool down. Meanwhile prepare the sauce by boiling sauce ingredients for 5 min.
8. Let the sauce cool down and then pour over the cake.
9. Cover and keep it refrigerated.

| for how long shall i let the cake cool down before adding the orange sauce?thank you |
Both the cake and the sauce should be at the room temperature. I think 15 min should be enough. |
