Navid: There are many meatloaf recipes available out there. Some recipes call for milk and oatmeal which make it more like a breakfast dish. I personally look at meatloaf as a homemade steak and therefore don't want any milk in it. To provide moisture for the meatloaf, instead of milk I am using Worcestershire sauce (or steak sauce). For the meatloaf glaze, some people use mustard but I prefer the taste of balsamic vinegar which make this a superb dish.
Main Ingredients:
Ground Beef: 1 pound or 0.5 Kg
Onion: 1 medium, chopped
Garlic: 1 clove, small chopped
Egg: 1, beaten
Salt: 1 tsp
Pepper: 1/4 tsp
Olive Oil: 2 tbsp
Bread Crumb: 1/2 cup
Worcestershire Sauce: 2-4 tbsp (or replace it with your favourite steak sauce)
Fresh Parsley: 2 tbsp, chopped
Glaze Ingredients:
Ketchup: 1/3 cup
Brown Sugar: 1 tbsp
Balsamic Vinegar: 2 tbsp (replace it with Cider Vinegar if you don't have balsamic)
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
2. Heat 2 tbsp olive oil in a frying pan and saute onion and garlic until just soft. Remove from the heat and cool.
3. Mix them with all other main ingredients. Shape into a loaf and transfer into a baking dish.
4. Mix all glaze ingredients and keep aside.
5. Bake meatloaf for 50 min.
6. Pour the glaze mix over it and bake for 10 more min.
Made this for the first time. Super easy and it turned out really well.

What a delicious meatloaf!!!! I would suggest to bake it on 350 for first half hour and than 375 for the next half hour.

Simply loved the meatloaf. It really did taste like meat. We all enjoyed it very much. My son who dislikes meatloaf finished all the leftovers. The glaze was excellent, adding a very nice flavour. Thanks so much!

Very tasty, the kids loved it and so did the adults.
I make my own recipe out of my head. This is very close to mine. I use soy sauce instead of vinegar. I also use white sugar if I do not have brown. I have been in bed, and have not ate for 5 days. I can't go no longer with out food, and I am making meat loaf right now with mashed potatoes, and carrots. There is nothing like meatloaf
Simple, yet delicious, what makes it so special is the balsamic to the sauce, I made extra to use to reheat the leftovers with..will be my favorite one

Elgin: if your husband can't eat beef, try substituting bison (buffalo). it tastes like beef, but is leaner and better for you.

I have always enjoyed meatloaf but this one is tops. I didn't have enough worstershire sauce and no steak sauce so I put in half worstershire and half barbeque and it was great! I've since been to the store for some HP sauce and Worstershire sauce and will be using them both in equal parts when I make this again next week. And another use for balsamic vinegar besides for salads. I have a new favorite meatloaf recipe. Thanks for sharing it!
