Having whole grains such as barley, oatmeal or whole wheat in your daily diet will help you to maintain your health in the long term. Whole grains contain fiber, protein, vitamins, minerals and amino acids essential for our health. For example, fiber aids in extraction of waste products and fatty substances and allows them to leave to body. Researchers have shown that whole grains may reduce the risk of cancer, heart disease, and diabetes and help you lose weight.
Beans such as soybean on the other hand, contains protein, vitamins and minerals including calcium, folic acid and iron essential for our body. Combining these two nutritious ingredients with some good olive oil, fresh herbs and a splash of lemon juice, makes a delicious and healthy dish.
